IC Realtime UK Limited, the UK arm of the IC Realtime Group of Companies, has decided to set up their UK headquarters in the Surrey Technology Centre, Guildford, which is part of the Surrey Universities Research Park.

The company, which is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced visual surveillance solutions with its Head Office in North America, already trades in established markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. It has now decided to launch its product offering in the UK.

IC Realtime’s new offices based on the research park include an interactive demonstration facility, training rooms with full multimedia, full restaurant catering facilities and ample ‘free of charge’ guest parking.

They were generously assisted in setting up their new base by Paul Caplis and Dennis McGlynn from UKTI and by His Excellency, Mr Julian King, British Ambassador to Ireland.

Mr Paul McKenny, CEO commented: “The establishment of IC Realtime UK has proven to be a brilliant and rewarding investment for the company. The initiative is strategically aligned to the company’s corporate vision and goals with regard to future development and expansion. We carries out our due diligence on the UK market and have found a demand for our product range. Our unique selling points of Quality, Accessibility and Affordability are a perfect match for a large, demanding and mature CCTV market. We hope to bridge the gap between analogue and IP therefore assisting the sector to make that necessary jump in quality as seamless as possible”.

“The help and assistance extended to us by Ambassador King and UKTI was first class. Their ‘can-do’ culture and positive disposition were positive catalysts that triggered our commitment to make this investment”.

Since establishing themselves in the UK, IC Realtime has already started recruiting staff and hope to recruit further next year as their market share increases.

Mr McKenny continued: “We are thrilled to be in a position to support the local economy and create employment within Surrey and the surrounding areas. Our research indicates a wealth of local talent available within the market place and an enormous appetite for our products and services.  We look forward to a bright and positive future.’’

UKTI assisted IC Realtime in sourcing a location and property for the headquarters, and by providing introductions to organisations which could assist with publicity, finance, facilities management and compliance to UK legislation.
