The VFRS is a wide area surveillance system that is designed for large area perimeter protection and notification. The system can cover a 7.5 mile square radius utilizing a single install point.
The VFRS system integrates radar, HD video, and thermal systems in order to provide the most robust wide-area surveillance system available today.
Once the perimeter is established, the different zones are defined, and responses can be unique to each zone. So, for instance, if we flag a zone as hot, meaning it is a critical area, we can have the system respond in a multitude of ways. The system can be instructed to lock all electronic doors, call the police, as well as email video clips and locations to your security team. Alarms are generated to alert security personnel and PTZ cameras are directed towards the intruder. The Cortex (the brain of the system) then decides based on incoming data which camera to use: HD, Thermal, or Laser. Video is recorded and distributed over the local network in order to provide both recorded history as well as real-time situational awareness to facility personnel.
Because the VFRS automates detection, tracking, and alarming based on the user’s site layout, security personnel can perform tasks other than monitor the security system. When an alarm is received, personnel can identify the threat and make a decision prior to the target reaching the perimeter, thus greatly increasing the response time to the potential threat. The system can be built to be fully autonomous using solar energy and a cloud network. This allows it to be rapidly deployed and fully self-sustained, should it become necessary.
The VFRS is the perfect solution for large area protection which was impossible to achieve utilizing traditional surveillance gear. We can accurately cover large areas, which, in the past, were impossible to cover.
Below are a few examples of where the VFRS could be used:
